A motorcade consisting of fanciful retro cars drove into St.-Petersburg June, 9. St.-Petersburg was the finishing point of the car rally, which started in England and included capitals of five countries. New Community Center Opens in Saint-Petersburg
MAOR, the city’s largest Jewish Community Center was officially inaugurated in Saint-Petersburg in December. It hosts Jewish kindergarten “Haya Mushka”, Jewish day school “Menachem” and a number of community programs for people of different ages. Its premises include a prayer hall, a kosher kitchen, computer classrooms, an art studio, a library, and a gymnasium. The spacious newly-decorated four-storey MAOR building has a rather complicated history.
